WW72 Watercooler Wednesday Colour Challenge

This week on the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge is a colour challenge.  This week Jean Fitch has decided to feature all five of the brand new 2016-18 In-Colors.  But don't let that scare you away.  You can use 3 or more of those wonderful colours to create your card.

Colour challenges force one to use just the colours in the challenge, plus a neutral which is "free".  It's not always easy to stay within the palette, but that's why we have challenges---to force ourselves to work outside our comfortable "boxes".

I was able incorporate four of the five new incolours in my card this week. I just love the Botanical Blooms stamp and diecuts set and used them on the Joy-fold card.  I used Emerald Envy for the card base and Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach, and Flirty Flamingo for the flowers.  Wild Wasabi made up the leaves, with Emerald Envy for the accent. The sentiment inside is from the retired stamp set Botanicals for you and is stamped in Emerald Envy.

Here is the outside:

Here is the first opening.  Used the Botanical Blooms stamp set to add the colour

Used the "Botanicals for you" stamp set for the sentiment.

Thanks for looking.

  1. Stunning, Betty! I love the vivid tones in your card and the way you've used the Botanical Blooms Bundle for your Joy Fold card. What a great way to open the card, by lifting up the die-cut leafy edge! The sentiment inside is the perfect finish, especially with the addition of those tiny stamped flowers. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

  2. Beautiful, Betty! I love the Botanical Blooms and the dies. They are still favorites of mine. Thanks for joining us this week at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges.

  3. The new In Colours work beautifully with the Botanical stamps & die cuts, Betty! The flowers look very tropical and fresh. Thanks for joining the Watercooler Wednesday challenge this week. ~Deborah

  4. I think the Botanical Framelits might be my favorite, great use of the in colors.

  5. Your card is beautiful! The colors go together and love, love that Botanical blooms. I finally broke down and have it now. Congrats for winning runner up.
