Watercooler Wednesday Challenge for this week

Welcome to our new Watercooler Wednesday challenge.  This week the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge features a sketch by Susan Horr.

Here is my card to enter for the challenge

The card base is Whisper White with the Woodland embossing folder.  The tree and Santa were fussy cut from the Home for Christmas DSP.  The window frame is the Hearth and Home Thinlits Die.  The sentiment is from the Joyful Season stamp set.

Thanks for looking.

Welcome to the  new Watercooler Wednesday challenge.  This week a sketch by Jackie Susnik.  It's a deceptively easy sketch which allows for a whole range of interpretations.

I was really interested in this sketch and so many possibilities.  Here is my card:

I used Real Red for card base and Close to Cocoa in the woodgrain folder.  Handsome Hunter and Silver Embossing and Real Red for the wreath.

And here is the inside:

The Stamp Sets used were:

WWC39 -- Susan's Colour Challenge

This week's Watercooler Wednesday challenge.  Susan Horr has provided us with a selection of colours for this challenge.  There are four colours but it's surprising how those same four colours can take so many different forms depending on who is inspired by them.

My card this week, uses Smokey Slate, Watermelon Wonder, Summer Starfruit and Pool Party,  and the stamp sets Swallowtail and Butterfly Basics

Here is the front of the card.  I stamped the Swallowtail stamp in Versamark and then Smokey Slate.  Then used clear embossing powder and heat to set it.  Then sponged Watermelon Wonder and Summer Starfruit on the butterfly image.  I sponged Pool Party around the butterfly, and then layered this on Whisper White and Pool Party.  The sentiment is from Butterfly Basics

WWC37 - Jackie's Sketch Challenge

This week's Watercooler Wednesday challenge.  Jackie Susnik has provided us with a sketch for this challenge and it's surprising how the same sketch can take so many different forms depending on who is inspired by it.

This is my design for the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge 37.  It is difficult to get a good picture of an acetate card.  I put this on a black background and hope you can see the colours.

I used a window sheet for the square card and embossed the snowflakes (from The Snowflake Spot and Letterpress Winter) with white embossing powder.  The diagonal stipe and the round background for the words are Bashful Blue cardstock.  There is a scalloped circle of metallic silver behind the blue cardstock.  I used the stamp set Joyful Season for the sentiment on the front and inside of the card.

Watercooler Wednesday Challenges  WWC35

This week they feature Marsha's "anything goes" challenge.  What does that mean?    Simply put, it is whatever you want it to be.  Share a new technique or an old one.  Share a 3-D project.  Share a mixed media project.  Share a card, a scrapbook page, new wall decor.  Make it totally your own without a sketch direction, a color direction or a theme/inspiration direction.  You want to do a birthday, anniversary, sympathy card, etc?  The possibilities are without end.

My card for the challenge starts as a Pop Up Box Card. My good friend Heather gave me the stamp set Watercolor Wings for my birthday - how luck am I !!!

Stamp sets:
Watercolor Wings
Butterfly Basics
Happiest Birthday Wishes

Stamp Pads:
Wild Wasabi
Blue Bayou
Summer Starfruit
Tip Top Taupe

Paper
Blue Bayou
Wild Wasabi
