This weeks challenge from Watercooler Wednesday is for CAS (clean and simple) challenge and this time Marsha Reed is challenging us to make it all about birthdays in a clean and simple project.  What is clean and simple?  According to the challenges which host only CAS (clean and simple), this is what one aims to do:  CAS (acronym for "clean and simple":  A design of card with clean lines, minimal elements, areas of white space and few or no embellishments, most often single layered or minimal layers.

Here is my entry into this week's challenge.  I used the retired stamp set Happy Together and for the background the Work of Art stamp set.  The colours were Tip Top Taupe, Bashful Blue and Cherry Cobbler for the little quail.

Wow just getting this in under the wire.  This week's WWC59 Watercooler Wednesday Challenge:

It's wearin' of the green this week at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  So fitting since St. Patrick's Day is the day after our challenge starts.  Bev has given us many shades of green to work with in her color challenge.  So, have some fun and show us your green!

This was a real challenge for me, the colours aren't ones I am normally drawn to , but here goes.  The base for the card is MossyMeadow, the next layer is Cucumber Crush and the top layer is Mint Macaron.  The Butterfly, from the Watercolour Wings stamp set, is Wild Wasabi and Cucumber Crush.  The inside sentiment is from Botanicals for you and stamped in Cucumber Crush.

Watercooler Wednesday Challenge WCC 57 Deborah Sketch Challenge

Over at the Watercooler Wendesday Challenge, WWC57, it is a Sketch Challenge  This week Deborah Smart is challenging us with a wonderful sketch.

Don't you love all those layers and the woven look in the centre?

This week I chose a little different style.  I used paper from Graphic 45, their Couture series and I put it all on a base of Baja Breeze.  For the little tabs I used lace, and I know it is hard to see but at the end of the lace are pearls.  I made this card for a friend's birthday this week and hope you enjoy it.

And the inside, still with paper from Graphic 45,

Thanks for looking at my card.
