WWC39

I am so excited that I won the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge  and now I get to display this wonderful picture.

Thanks so much for the honour, ladies.

Joining the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge has given me lots of inspiration in designing new cards.

WWC39 -- Susan's Colour Challenge

This week's Watercooler Wednesday challenge.  Susan Horr has provided us with a selection of colours for this challenge.  There are four colours but it's surprising how those same four colours can take so many different forms depending on who is inspired by them.

My card this week, uses Smokey Slate, Watermelon Wonder, Summer Starfruit and Pool Party,  and the stamp sets Swallowtail and Butterfly Basics

Here is the front of the card.  I stamped the Swallowtail stamp in Versamark and then Smokey Slate.  Then used clear embossing powder and heat to set it.  Then sponged Watermelon Wonder and Summer Starfruit on the butterfly image.  I sponged Pool Party around the butterfly, and then layered this on Whisper White and Pool Party.  The sentiment is from Butterfly Basics

WWC37 - Jackie's Sketch Challenge

This week's Watercooler Wednesday challenge.  Jackie Susnik has provided us with a sketch for this challenge and it's surprising how the same sketch can take so many different forms depending on who is inspired by it.

This is my design for the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge 37.  It is difficult to get a good picture of an acetate card.  I put this on a black background and hope you can see the colours.

I used a window sheet for the square card and embossed the snowflakes (from The Snowflake Spot and Letterpress Winter) with white embossing powder.  The diagonal stipe and the round background for the words are Bashful Blue cardstock.  There is a scalloped circle of metallic silver behind the blue cardstock.  I used the stamp set Joyful Season for the sentiment on the front and inside of the card.
