WWC55 Jeans Colour Challenge
In this week's Watercooler Wednesday challenge, Jean Fitch has provided us with a beautiful inspiration photo for this challenge. This photo was actually taken by Jean of one of her stunning rings. She has also added a colour palette based on our Stampin' Up! colours to indicate which are the colours for this challenge.
Colour challenges force one to use just the colours in the challenge, plus a neutral which is "free". It's not always easy to stay within the palette, but that's why we have challenges---to force ourselves to work outside our comfortable "boxes".
This week I chose a Fun Fold to use with this colour challenge. I used the retired stamp set Fabulous Florets and also a retired DSP called Beyond the Garden.
I substituted the Wild Wasabi colour for the Mint Macaron, but was able to use all the other colours in my card. Here it is:
and here is the inside:
Thanks for looking.
Beautiful card, Betty. I love that special fold and the way you've used the colours. I have to admit that I've missed the Fabulous Florets set. It was one of my favourites. As usual, I love that you've continued your theme into the inside of the card. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
ReplyDeleteBetty, I love the look of the outline stamp on the crisp white cardstock. The colours look wonderful the way you have combined them. Thanks for joining us!
ReplyDeleteBetty Lee, I love your card. That is a great stamp set and dsp. You have finished off the inside beautifully as well.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful floral tribute to our challenge. As Heidi indicated...it's lovely to see a fully finished and elegant card from outside to inside.
ReplyDeleteI also wanted to thank you for a giggle you gave me this week. I've been using my tiny Kindle to look at things lately and when I only looked at the already tiny linky image I thought I was seeing three colored bears from the Occasions Catalog Bear Hugs set. Then I opened your blog post and saw the absolutely wonderful flowers along with the fancy fold and so on. Boy was my face Perfect Plum. On the other hand...now I have an idea for a fun card and I have you and my Kindle to thank. Thank you...for the giggle, the idea and especially for playing along on our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week. My ring thanks you too. LOL
Great fun fold, Betty! I really like your attention to detail - the multiple colours of scallops especially. Lovely to see the additional flowers on the inside of the card, too. Thanks for joining us at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge! ~Deborah
